– Located in Historic Downtown Fort Payne.
Professional sound system available at no extra
charge and stage for performances. Theater with
bleachers seats 400 people. Tables & chairs

chairs and bleachers. Non profit (churches &
schools) up to 3 hours $50.00. Non profit 3-8

DeSoto Banquet Hall - Situated on the
beautiful DeSoto Golf Course, DeSoto Banquet
Hall was recently renovated and reopened by the
City of Fort Payne. Banquet hall provides tables
and chairs for up to 150 people for the day for

Lebanon Courthouse. LLC The Lebanon
Courthouse is one of the last remaining
buildings of its kind. Built in the early 1840s,
this gorgeous and well maintained building was
once a courthouse for the then county seat town
of Lebanon. Local populations later moved to
larger, booming towns with rail access, most
notably Fort Payne. This building, though, has
been kept in pristine condition, and has
recently been remodeled to offer the finest in
luxurious accommodations and appointments for
both overnight lodging and event hosting. The
elegant interior, combined with the natural
beauty of the immaculate landscape and nearby
mountains, provides a great setting for a
wedding, rehearsal dinner, holiday party, or
just a weekend getaway. We offer a large seating
area or dining inside that, along with the
entire Courthouse, is opulently decorated and
appointed. We also have several sitting rooms
for larger crowds, and, weather permitting, an

Sallie Howard
Memorial Chapel - Built by Colonel
Milford Howard as a memorial to his first wife,
this stone church is built around a huge
boulder. The boulder serves as the pulpit of the
church and is also where Howard's ashes are
interred. A sentence, penned to Howard in a
letter from his wife hangs over the pulpit. It
states "God has all ways been as good to me as I
would let him be." Services are held each Sunday
in the chapel and it is also a popular place for

Don't forget your marriage license!!
DeKalb County Courthouse Probate Office is
located at 300 Grand Ave. SW, Suite 100.
Marriage Licese fees are around $40 and the license
is valid for 30 days from date of purchase. Both
parties must be 18 years of age and present a
valid picture ID, birth certificate or social
security card to purchase a marriage license.
